Project Overview:

SWAM inc. had the dream of making a connected system of wireless nodes attached to key points on the body and would work together to create a 3D model of your body for athletic training purposes.

For example, currently expensive underwater cameras are used to view swimmer movements while swimming. Multiple cameras from different angles are needed for each swimmer, being extremely time consuming and expensive. This product would change the way sports training was carried out.

I joined SWAM during its early stages and for this project I worked on:

Problem Statement:

The problem that will be solved through this project is to decide method of UWB wave ranging is best to calculate distance effectively through different mediums. From there a decision will be made, through testing, which UWB transceiver to purchase.

The project will only deal with two modules ranging between each other as the first step before creating a system of modules that will communicate with each other.

Constraints and Criteria

There are 3 constraints for this project.

  1. Any UWB transceivers must be purchased from Decawave.
